Brief Description
An 'America's Cup Gift Pack' issued by 'Australia Post' on behalf of 'America's Cup Defence 1987 Limited'. The contents are kept inside a white cardboard mailing box, featuring some colour images of the 'Australia III' yacht, and the 'Boxing Kangaroo' emblem. Contents include: a book regarding the America's Cup defence, entitled 'Winning & Defending The Cup'; a map of the 1987 America's Cup course, off Fremantle; a bookmark made out of the 'Kevlar' sails of the 'Australia II' which won the Cup in 1983; a race chart and calendar of events featuring a detailed biography of, prominent, past America's Cup challenger, Sir Thomas Lipton; and, a pamphlet, also featuring a biography of Lipton.
